Our brand new service in the salon offered by Jasmine, three types of extensions, tapes, nano bonds and keratin stick tips.

All of Beauty Works hair is human double drawn hair, which means the hair is the same density and weight from the root to tip, unlike most of our natural hairs which tend to get thinner towards the bottom. You'll notice on these pictures the hair stays full all the way down.

Lets talk about the different types and help you decide which would be the best for you.

Starting with tapes, these take roughly an hour to apply due to them being more grams of hair on each strip of tape.

Tapes tend to be better for finer hair and can be applied to add thickness, especially in the front area around the temple. They're also great for if you would like more length in the front whilst growing out a short style for example. You can tie your hair up with this type as they are well hidden. Once the hair for tapes have been purchased, they will last for 6-12 months as long as you're using the correct aftercare and can be re-fitted as often as possible however they will need to be refit every 6 weeks so you may save money on the fitting as its a faster process than the others but you make up for it with how often.

Nano bonds are individual bonds and take the longest to apply at around three hours. These are glued bonds and are applied with beads rather than heat so there is no damage and are really gentle on hair that is compromised. They need to be refit every 8-10 weeks. Are great for those people who wear their hair up or in high ponytails.

When purchasing BeautyWorks hair extensions through the salon you take away a free hair care goody bag containing shampoo, conditioner, mask, heat protection spray and hair oil, making sure you maintain the extensions correctly at home.

We provide the products because its so important that when you've had these extensions fitted, you must only use the Beauty Works products to wash and style, anything else and you are at risk of damaging the bond and the glue that's on the tape which will result in the extensions falling out.

We advise that anyone interested has a consultation with Jasmine as there are so many factors which can vary the final cost. To get an accurate quote, during your consultation Jasmine will discuss with you the type that is best for you, how many packets your hair will need and also colour match you. One of the biggest factors to the cost is the shade. Blondes, especially highly processed brighter blonde shades, cost the most as these are in a premium category. As well as making you aware of all the ways you have to maintain them and the dos and don't so you can decide if they're for you!
